Fintra Beach is located about 1.5kms from Killybegs on the way to Kilcar/GlenColmCille. It is a long sandy beach that stretches about 1kms along the bay. Fintra is located to the south west coast of Donegal off the R263 west of Killybegs town. Fintra is a sheltered sandy beach that receives large numbers of day trippers during the summer months and is also enjoyed by the local community. The beach is flanked by sand dunes on its landward side. These dunes lead in to the old Killybegs GAA pitch. Parking facilities are excellent with one very large car park. Lifeguard Lifeguards are on duty in July and August everyday between 12.00 noon and 6.30pm. First Aid A First Aid kit is available at the Beach Lifeguard Hut-12.00 and 6.30pm
