Iosas Centre and Celtic Prayer/Pilgrim Garden, Derryvane, Muff Sponsored by the Columba Community of Prayer and Reconciliation. Iosas Centre, (Island of Saints and Scholars), is a six-acre prayer garden and visitor centre where the pilgrim is invited to reflect on the Irish Saints (5th to 12th Century) and their relevance today. Individuals and groups can tour the garden, enjoy its wonderful peace and natural beauty and learn more about our common Christian Heritage. There is a replica of the dry-stone cell of St Columba (Colmcille), St Canice's thatched Oratory and a magnificent bronze Celtic figure of the Risen Christ in the Trinity Circle. Crafts on sale at the Visitors Centre include polished bog wood and handmade quilts worked by the residents of the adjoining Whiteoaks Rehabilitation Centre. Meals and snacks can be provided.
